Scrunch recently worked on a campaign with TerryWhite Chemmart to increase awareness of and amplify a message about an in-store promotion. The promotion was for the Big Brand Gift Bag, which customers in Queensland and South Australia had the opportunity to receive as a complimentary gift with purchase when shopping at TerryWhite Chemmart. Here is how we implemented a strategy to amplify the Big Brand Gift Bag promotion working with influencers within a tight deadline.

The Brief

Brand: TerryWhite Chemmart

Goal: Support the launch of the Big Brand Gift Bag in-store promotion with an influencer marketing strategy to increase awareness and amplify the message. 

Strategy: Leverage influencers in the beauty, fashion, parenting and lifestyle space in QLD and SA and gift them the TerryWhite Chemmart Big Brand Gift Bag to create and share content about the in-store promotion.

Key Learnings

  • A micro-influencer strategy is cost-effective and can be implemented quickly without compromising on the reach or success of your campaign.
  • When the key message highlights the value of something (and consumers have the opportunity to receive a bargain), content receives high engagement with a positive sentiment. In this case, the TerryWhite Chemmart Big Brand Gift Bag was an in-store promotion where customers received the gift bag for free with purchase and the contents of the gift bag were valued at $240 with all full-sized products from well-known brands in the health, fitness, wellness and beauty space.
  • While conversions cannot be directly tracked when it comes to in-store promotions and foot-traffic, it is clear that influencers can amplify a message to their digital network and influence consumer purchase decisions.
