  • Technical Product Manager Apply

    Reporting to CEO — Danielle Lewis

    In this position, the Technical Product Manager Technology is responsible for identifying technological improvements and technology based product requirements while managing the lifecycle of the technological and software application projects for which they are responsible. As a regular contributor to the strategic development roadmap the TPM must collaborate with marketing, sales and product management to ensure new products meet future customer requirements, transform market requirements into technical requirements, benchmark competitive applications and systems, and act as the coordinator for providing technical product support to team members and customers so they have technical questions solved quickly and efficiently.

    The Scrunch Technical Product manager will represent the customer, define product strategy, roadmaps, requirements and lead cross-functional teams (engineers to sales) under the Agile framework. In the end, we value people who act as business owners and are committed to delivering value.

    Responsibilities:

    • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
    • Define product requirements based on data analysis and qualitative interviews
    • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
    • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
    • Work closely with engineering and designers to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
    • Write concise, clear user stories and manage backlog priority
    • Define, dashboard and influence success metrics
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies – grooming, planning, scrums, demos and retros
    • Make trade-offs in a rational way to balance new features, maintenance and bug fixes
    • Act as the key product evangelist and expert for internal and external teams
    • Interact with clients and solve problems “on your feet”
    • Inform and train all teams on the latest features and their specifications and unique selling points to optimize sales opportunities.
    • Conduct aligned planning of the product launch preparation phase
    • Outline communication plan to customers, supporting Product Management
    • Support Beta Test manager on all Technical Issues relating to software rollout

  • Front-end Web Engineer Apply

    Brisbane

    Scrunch is seeking a front-end web developer to join and complement an agile team of passionate software engineers building the latest big-data, large scale solutions to influencer marketing. You will be responsible for a variety of different components — from the front-end UX, through to testing and finally aiding in API development and design.

    Required technical qualifications:

    • Highly proficient in HTML(5), CSS(3), and JavaScript, both Vanilla JS, and jQuery.
    • Have extensive experience in MVC frameworks such as FlightJS, backbone.js, React or similar, along with experience with AMD based loading.
    • In-depth understanding of functional javascript and prototyping.
    • Excellent understanding of event based, module driven design.
    • Working experience of Node.js, gulp and module loaders such as requirejs and webpack.
    • Solid python experience, as well as understanding of python reactors — ie twisted.
    • Experience with template engines, such as jinja, swig, underscore/lodash.

    In addition to the technical skills required above, experience in the following areas is also preferred:

    • Familiarity with agile methodologies, such as kanban, and the ability to adapt to quickly changing project requirements.
    • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, passionate team.
    • Strong problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
    • Ability to deliver and multi-task with minimal supervision.

  • Senior Back-end Engineer Apply

    Reporting to Technical Product Manager

    Brisbane

    To provide advanced development and system administration on the Scrunch platform. The Senior Back-end Engineer is responsible for the production of the Scrunch platform with some work in Operations. It is expected that the person in this role endeavours to deliver the highest quality product while upholding the Scrunch philosophy.

    Responsibilities:

    • Architects and implement significant portions of code.
    • Provide technical direction, planning, and vision to other programmers.
    • Creates, maintains, and owns technical specifications, designs, and schedules.
    • May have direct management responsibility with certain developers.
    • Builds strong relationships across team and with other companies.
    • Anticipates and acts upon issues that arise, providing alternative approaches and solutions.
    • Communicates a clear vision of how technologies can be optimally applied to the product.
    • Sets the standard for highest quality of work.
    • Documents and completes Unit tests for all code written within the guidelines documented per project.
    • Responsible for frequently managing communication and tasks on all required tools used in the development process.
    • Participates in regular meetings as scheduled in the developers calendar.
    • Maintains a positive attitude, shows respect for all colleagues and lives the Scrunch philosophy.

  • Expert Sales Executive Apply

    Brisbane

    Scrunch is seeking entrepreneurial, energetic and outcome-driven sales professionals to join the team and help us grow our exciting business in 2017. The sales executive will be responsible for direct sales of the scrunch managed service to Publishers, Brands and Media Agencies. They will be very familiar with these worlds and have existing strong connections. It will be expected that past successes are demonstrated through the interview process. The successful applicant will be a self-motivator and able to work in with a small team, thrive on a fast paced startup environment, a love a good vino on a Friday!

    Remuneration will be a base package with a commission on sales.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for monthly sales and revenue targets and ongoing pipeline.
    • Creation and management of pitch documents.
    • Responsible for ongoing relationship management.
    • Responsible for ensuring a well documented hand-over to the account management team.
    • Should participate in the final reporting process and upsell new campaigns to clients.
    • Travel may be required to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne depending on the successful applicants location.
    • Fortnightly and monthly reporting to CEO.

    Selection criteria:

    • A proven new business sales track record - This means experience: cold calling, setting appointments and conducting sales meetings for a successful outcome.
    • A can do attitude and the willingness to work within a small team.
    • Well presented, well spoken, well written
    • Willingness and ability to research the market, identify opportunities and secure sales appointments through prospecting calls and excellent follow up skills.
    • Ability to manage the accounts to the highest standards.
    • Experience using sales focused, online CRM is a plus.
    • Must have own vehicle, laptop and mobile phone.
