Every day, the Scrunch team works to bring you a platform that makes influencer marketing an easier and more seamless experience. To help you make the most of Scrunch, here are some tips on how to filter your

search results in the Directory to make it even easier to find the right influencers for your campaign.

Below are three different scenarios with step by step instructions to show how to best search and filter the Scrunch Directory to find the right influencers for the campaign.

Scenario 1

BRAND: Get Bronzed, a brand from California that sells a range of self-tanning products.

INFLUENCER CRITERIA: female influencers who are based in California, ideally near the beach. The brand is up and coming, so the budget lends itself to micro influencers and the target audience is females aged 18 to 24.

CAMPAIGN: To promote a new tanning product.

  • Step 1: Navigate to the Directory and select a category. For this campaign, beauty, fashion, skincare, or even health and fitness would be a good place to start. For this example, start with“Beauty.”

  • Step 2: Filter the results by location. You can do this by clicking the filter icon and filtering the results by influencers based in California. Remember the location is the influencer’s location, not their audience’s location. We will address the audience’s location in another step later.

  • Step 3: Filter the results by follower range to remove macro and power influencers. This will ensure the results align with the budget and only include micro influencers who have 2,000 to 50,000 followers.

  • Step 4: Filter the results by gender to ensure only female influencers are returned in the search results.

  • Step 5: Filter the results by the audience of the influencer, to ensure the results include influencers with a majority female audience and influencers who have an audience within the target age demographic. Note this is only available to users on the Power Plan.

Now, the search results align well with the campaign and the criteria so the brand can start reviewing the influencers, their content and whether they are suitable for the campaign. Influencers can be added straight to a list of bookmarks from the Directory.

Scenario 2

BRAND: Styled by West, a US brand that sells street-style wear for men.

INFLUENCER CRITERIA: Australian male fashion influencers based in major cities including Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. The brand has done influencer marketing before and has budget, so they are looking to work with macro influencers.

CAMPAIGN: Expand the brands presence in Australia and launch in a new country.

  • Step 1: Navigate to the Directory and select a category. For this campaign, start with “Fashion.”

  • Step 2: Filter the results by location to include influencers from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

  • Step 3: Filter the results by follower range to include only macro influencers with a follower range between 50,000 and 300,000.

  • Step 4: Filter the results by gender, both of the influencer and of the audience. This will ensure the brand works with influencers who are male, and reach a majority male audience.

  • Step 5: Add additional keywords to the search bar (up to 5 in total) to find more influencers that match the criteria. Keywords could include: mens fashion, mens wear, mens style etc.

Now, the search results align well with the campaign and the criteria so the brand can start reviewing the influencers, their content and whether they are suitable for the campaign. Influencers can be added straight to a list of bookmarks from the Directory.

Scenario 3

BRAND: Cooper’s Games, a Japanese gaming company that has launched a new console.

INFLUENCER CRITERIA: Males and females who are based in the US. Influencers must be a regular gamer and YouTuber with a channel of over 400,000 subscribers.

CAMPAIGN: The brand has a strong presence in Japan, so they want to target a new market.

  • Step 1: Navigate to the Directory and start your search with keywords including gamer, gaming and pc gaming. Competitor brands and products such as Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PlayStation can be added to the search bar to find people talking about other gaming products.

  • Step 2: Filter the results by location to include influencers from the US.

  • Step 3: Filter the results by network to include only influencers who have a YouTube channel.

  • Step 4: Filter the results by follower range to include power influencers only.

Remember that you can always assess your results and continue to refine them by using our filters. There are endless keywords, variables, and combinations you can adjust to help you find the right influencer for your brand and campaign.
