Our Opportunity

We are looking for an Associate Director, Influencer Marketing to join our team in either Boston, MA or Dania beach, FL. The ideal candidate is an organized, strategic, and creative problem solver while being data-driven in planning and analysis. You will take a human-first approach to influencer talent and ensure that all relationships are mutually beneficial and authentically connected to Chewy’s brand and business priorities. You will lead strategy and collaborate with cross-functional groups to ensure all influencer marketing is consistent and resonant. In partnership with the Sr. Director of Brand Marketing, you will champion a unified, centralized vision of Influencer Marketing for the organization from planning through execution, logistics, and reporting.

The Associate Director of Influencer Marketing will shape and own Chewy’s Influencer Program. This strategic marketer is entrenched in the world of Influencers & Creators and will launch our strategy, scale the program and team, and bring incremental value to the business. Our Influencer program will reflect the values of our brand, business, and customers by working with inspiring, inclusive, partners who resonate.

What You’ll Do

  • Refine and execute Chewy’s Influencer Marketing strategy.

  • Drive influencer marketing planning by laddering into our brand purpose, tentpoles, themes and activations.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (PR, Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Site, Creative, Analytics) to create a best-in-class Influencer/Creator Program. This includes everything from soup to nuts – strategy, planning, logistics, execution, and reporting.

  • Cultivate relationships with influencers/creators best aligned to attract, inspire, and engage relevant audience with authentic storytelling .

  • Manage influencer talent – create and sustain relationships while delivering content and executing plans according to schedule.

  • Analyze Influencer program performance through multiple attribution models.

  • Manage budgets and reporting on business impact including recommendations for optimization and applicable learnings.

  • Develop, maintain, and iterate a testing roadmap to drive growth and continually improve the customer experience while reaching program and campaign goals.

  • Serve as Influencer expert and educator through launching program, surveying landscape for future opportunities and challenges and presenting solutions.

  • Lead talent strategies within discipline and with internal partners. Extend this to external influencers/partners ranging from emerging to celebrity.

  • Improve project management across the team, driving continuous process optimization and making recommendations for efficiencies.

What You’ll Need

  • 8-10 years’ experience in brand strategy, creative strategy, or marketing planning, with 5+ years’ experience in social and influencer marketing, specifically.

  • Deep Experience working with cross-functional teams & external partners.

  • Advanced working knowledge of digital and social marketing tactics and ability to integrate across channels.

  • Experience in talent and influencer management including proven track record of successful negotiation skills.

  • Experience in contract management and proficient understanding of legal landscape (i.e., FTC guidelines and requirements).

  • Proven leader of people (both direct and indirect reports), skilled in management & collaboration with demonstrated ability to influence up, down and across the organization, shaping strategic narratives to gain buy in from marketing leaders and external partners.

  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Google Analytics preferred.

  • Experience with an influencer marketing platform preferred.

  • Position may require travel.
