The Opportunity:
The Senior Manager, Influencer Marketing within Mattel’s Digital Engagement Group will be responsible for the leadership and management of a team that oversees the day-to-day execution of contract, earned and paid media influencer campaigns across Mattel’s portfolio of iconic brands.This position will oversee global strategy for the Vehicles and Action Figure portfolio and run end-to-end campaigns from campaign briefing through influencer selection, while overseeing campaign execution, and reporting.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Develops annual planning and strategy under vertical portfolio of brands

  • Oversee budgets and spend optimizations

  • Drive innovation in influencer strategy through thought leadership, staying up to date on the latest trends and tools, suggesting new ways to innovate and enhance our approach, while keeping the team up-to-date on best practices

  • Enhance influencer programs by developing new strategies and partnerships that contribute to revenue growth and amplify the brand’s mission

  • Manages all aspects of influencer campaign design, execution and measurement on YouTube, Instagram, and other key social platforms, including delegating and overseeing tasks to junior team members.

  • Collaborate and align with cross-functional teams to build influencer activations that meet desired integrated marketing objectives

  • Partner and maintain relationships with key licensors, understanding their business and position and how it intersects with Mattel

  • Strategically identify talent and influencers for brand campaigns and programs that maximize ROI and achieve campaign KPIs

  • Ensure final creative and integrations are consistent with the brand brief and meet legal standards

  • Compile, analyze and interpret data to optimize execution and report on campaign performance

  • Foster existing and develop new relationships within the digital influencer community (content creators, platforms, agencies, managers, etc.)

  • Collaborte with internal team members and external agency media counterparts to develop paid media campaigns utilizing influencer creative across O&O platforms, influencer channels, digital, linear and emerging media platforms

  • Work with appropriate legal leads to ensure creative meets legal standards

  • Manage and grow a team of associate managers and coordinators

  • Co-lead the portfolio with a Sr. Manager counterpart implementing and managing process workflow with legal, S&P brand and media counterparts

  • Anticipate and proactively mitigate issues that arise; consistently communicating with appropriate leads regarding updates on progress, relevant delays, or issues and budget implications

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10 years work experience with at least 8 years in an influencer marketing or media role, with a focus on digital platforms

  • Significant YouTube & Social knowledge across content, influencers and media products

  • Critical thinking and ability to quickly assess opportunities and challenges

  • Ability to set long-term strategy, clear goals, and KPIs

  • Ability to deal with a variety of personalities which sometimes will require influencing or providing alternative solutions on requests that do not fall into strategy

  • Experience in a metric-based performance environment, with an ability to bring data and analytics to life

  • Track record of integrating influencer marketing in paid media campaigns

  • Excellent presentation, deck building, organization and communication skills

  • A team player with experience managing a team and fostering their growth

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize demands

  • Strong people skills and ability to effectively manage conflict

  • Self-direction and an ability to manage ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Existing relationships with influencers and creators in the kids and family category

  • Understanding of COPPA guidelines and FTC guidelines. Experience with kids and/or parents is a plus

  • Paid media planning within the YouTube and Social space

  • Knowledge of digital analytics platforms including Tubular Labs
