Director of Social Media & Influencer Marketing – Rooms To Go

We believe in the power of social and the unique ability influencer marketing has to reach new customers. We’re looking a dynamic and thoughtful Director of Social Media & Influencer Marketing to us help continue to grow our social media and influencer marketing teams.

We’re looking for someone with a love for strategic thinking blended with an ability to lead day-to-day execution, strategy, and optimization.

We’re looking for someone able to multi-task and manage multiple timelines. As a team leader and contributor, this person performs tasks effectively, develops collaborative relationships with team members, displays clear communication and acts proactively and professionally.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in the digital creative space and be fluent in social platforms. She or he also comes with proven experience scaling talent and influencer capabilities for driving outsized awareness and engagement gains, as well as has a unique knack for knowing what will drive interest to cut through the category clutter.

You will be able to build and grow Room To Go’s organic social community to drive brand interest and love through a strong, engaging POV. You will also understand how to identify the best creators to deliver on KPIs against reach, engagement and cost effectiveness, taking Rooms To Go’s influencer program to the next level to drive interest, engagement and brand love with Room To Go’s target consumer.

You know how to identify target customers, set clear objectives, build an effective content strategy to engage the audience, increase traffic and boost conversions.

Someone who think omnichannel. Is curious how social can drive to the store and how the store can drive to social. (For instance, with in-store sharable moments.)

We are looking for someone who is a natural (and thoughtful) leader and mentor. Someone who enjoys helping others get better and more confident in their jobs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the direction and execution of social media content, influencer marketing campaigns, strategic partnerships with influencers and budget across channels to build brand fame and community engagement

  • Responsible for managing the influencer and organic social strategies and team to grow awareness, engagement, affinity and, ultimately, conversion at Rooms To Go

  • Working with our Analytics team, regularly analyze social performance across organic social and influencer marketing campaigns and optimize programs accordingly

  • Stay up to date with industry emerging trends, influencers, creators, partners across these platforms to make compelling and engaging influencer and organic social content across channels

  • Recommend refinement of process or workflows if necessary for new social media initiatives to boost awareness and relevance for the market

Core Capabilities:

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience in social media and influencer marketing. eCommerce experience is a plus. Furniture/high consideration product experience would be a huge plus.

  • In-depth knowledge of the latest best practices, tools, and trends on social media platforms related to YouTube, Instagram, Instagram stories, IGTV, Instagram Live, TikTok, Meta/Meta Live, Pinterest, Twitter, Amazon Live etc.

  • Exceptional relationship management skills, able to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners. And excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Comes hardwired with the ability to understand the big picture as well as nuances of all social media platforms

  • Demonstrated thought leadership & compelling achievements in both paid / non-paid social media strategy

  • A strategic mindset and capable of partnering with our creative, communications, media and channel teams to bring excellence to our social media

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Marketing/Digital Media Major preferred

  • Must be a team player with a strong work ethic. Works well with others

  • Strong commitment to prioritization of timelines, accuracy, organization, and professionalism

  • Dedicated commitment to deliver on all project deadlines

  • Ability to work independently and accomplish tasks with minimal oversight
