Dorsia is an invite-only membership platform launching Spring 2022 in New York City, Miami, and the Hamptons. Unlike existing dining reservation systems, Dorsia leverages a unique supply & demand pricing model to offer hard-to-book reservations for a guaranteed minimum spend. For our members, we remove the hassle of finding the perfect restaurant for the occasion and the friction & frustration of securing a reservation. For our partner restaurants, we optimize revenue via guaranteed minimum spends, provide a reliable customer base by reducing no-shows & cancellations, and unlock access to actionable diner insights and marketing support.

Dorsia’s founding executive team and investors bring a wide range of deep expertise across the hospitality, technology, finance and media industries, providing Dorsia with a unique edge in building a new kind of restaurant tech brand. The founding team includes Marc Lotenberg (CEO; Founder & CEO of Surface Media), Mike Greene (COO; formerly Resy, Amex, Avero), Joshua Stern (VP; founder of Wine & Dine and I Know the Chef), and Jared Morgenstern, (investor, COO Raya and 3rd Designer at Facebook).

Dorsia is seeking an all-star marketing leader to lead the charge in building a marketing organization as we scale the organization. As the first marketing hire, you will report directly to a member of the executive team overseeing revenue and marketing. In the role, partner closely with our leadership team to build and execute the marketing, brand, and growth strategy for Dorsia.

The ideal candidate has deep experience leading marketing for high-growth consumer brands across B2B and B2C functions and is comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up environment.

In the role, you will:

  • Own and oversee all facets of marketing and growth for Dorsia across brand, B2B, B2C, and experiential

  • Hire and manage internal and external team members across all Marketing functions

  • Develop overarching marketing strategy and oversee execution of all tactics including events and experiential, paid media, guerilla marketing, and content

  • Develop best-in-class B2B and consumer marketing structure and support for Dorsia sales division to ensure long-lasting restaurant partnerships through ongoing collaboration and marketing support

  • Responsible for building and nurturing Dorsia community through compelling storytelling, experiences, and content distributed across owned, earned, and paid channels

  • Lead communications strategy; manage external PR agency to ensure flawless execution of Dorsia brand narrative in public communications and awareness growth in target markets & among target audience

  • Oversee social media strategy and team responsible for execution of day to day content strategy, execution, influencer relationships and community management

  • Oversee customer acquisition and retention strategy and execution, manage media budget and in-market activations across channels

  • Develop and manage marketing budget; responsible for actualization and optimization of budget on a monthly basis in partnership with executive team and finance functions

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 8-10 years experience in marketing and brand strategy at a high-growth brand or consumer product company

  • Available to work in either New York City or Miami

  • Experience in food, hospitality, and consumer technology industries a plus

  • Strong leadership skills; experience building and cultivating a team of high-performing marketing talent across brand, creative, growth, and B2B functions

  • Highly creative and strategic; able to analyze and implement revenue-driving opportunities through strategic marketing and brand building tactics while executing impeccable creative for the brand

  • Experience with B2B sales process, strategies and team organization

  • Familiarity with paid media channels, purchase funnel,, customer acquisition tactics, retention marketing, and customer loyalty programs

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; to present to C-suite and investors

  • Highly organized with attention to detail but able to be flexible, nimble, and scrappy

  • Positive, optimistic, encouraging attitude with ability to motivate team members during periods of intense growth

Salary Range: $150,000- $200,000 (depending on experience) + bonus + meaningful equity
