Impossible Foods was founded to transform the global food system and reduce the impact of climate change by making the world’s most delicious, nutritious, and sustainable meat, fish, and dairy — from plants.

Through the revolutionary work of our world-class R&D team, we’re inventing efficient, sustainable ways to transform ingredients from plants into meat, fish, and dairy foods that deliver all the pleasures and nutritional benefits consumers demand, without the negative environmental or public health impact.

Our flagship product, Impossible™ Burger, uses 96% less land, 87% less water and generates 89% less greenhouse gas emissions than conventional beef from cows. And the burger is just the beginning. We’re working on recreating every animal product, from chicken to fish, with plant-based ingredients that are vastly better for people and the planet.

Impossible Foods has experienced spectacular growth over the last few years, and we continue to lead all aspects of the plant-based revolution – from discovery and innovation to commercial production and consumer education. We’re building an amazing team of brilliant, collaborative, mission-driven individuals who take pride in using their diverse skills to contribute to a better world. Our core values include leading with heart, thinking like scientists, and doing the right thing, and our employees embody these attributes in their work every day.

Want to join the movement. You can help us solve the most urgent, important challenge facing the world today (and have fun doing it).

A successful Europe Marketing & Sales Intern will demonstrate a passionate dedication to our mission of making the global food system sustainable. You will make an immediate, positive contribution by helping to amplify the Impossible Foods story, make the brand globally recognizable, and deeply engage consumers & customers and the world at large. You will work on a scrappy but fun-loving, results-driven team of global experts to raise awareness of our product and build the company brand -- while directly supporting & enabling sales with demand generation efforts.

We are specifically looking for a candidate with a business background who can be the cross-functional glue between multiple different teams and projects. Your top priority will be planning and executing key partner marketing initiatives, while working closely with International, Sales, Marketing, Creative, Communications, Finance/Accounting, Product, Consumer Relations, Legal, Insights Analytics, R&D and other departments. This role will help coordinate the end-to-end process for many Europe marketing & Sales efforts (including retail and food service) --- from strategy to operations to execution. The ideal candidate will have strong creative, analytical, and organizational chops to help make globally impactful work.

This internship will be a hybrid role, based in NYC and will report to our fearless leader of Int’l Launch Marketing.

You Will

  • Support robust consumer & partner marketing campaigns, launches and projects, working in lockstep with B2B Marketing, Creative, Sales, Communications, Finance, Customer Service, Product, Legal, Business Intelligence, R&D and other departments.

  • Lead or assist in project execution by developing campaign plans, schedules, and budgets, as well as securing approvals and routing assets.

  • Embody our “Think Like A Scientist” mindset, incorporating A/B/C testing, feedback and data into every campaign.

  • Assist in content management, review, and audit of our new global websites, ensuring appropriate localization where necessary.

  • Serve as a key steward of our brand – review marketing content, campaign assets, and messaging to ensure it's on time and on brand.

  • Own cross-functional communication for intern projects, including project briefing, project updates, and wrap reports.

  • Create a bridge between our partners, agencies, and vendors – manage processes from budgeting to invoicing, so they’re always in lockstep with us.

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and creative assets across all partner / marketing touchpoints.

  • Work with the Content + Community team to deploy social + digital campaigns and Influencer campaigns, respectively.

  • Partner with the Insights and Analytics team to define and measure campaign and channel performance KPIs.

You Have

  • 1-2 years experience (may be across university, internships, or full-time jobs) in marketing; emphasis on international brands, food, restaurant/hospitality, technology preferred

  • Recent undergraduate (Bachelors) degree strongly preferred. Candidates in their final year of undergraduate may be considered.

  • Understanding of integrated marketing campaign management and a wide range of marketing channels - lifecycle, social, digital, experiential, mass media, print, guerrilla, etc.

  • Understanding of how to design, test and assess marketing efforts that target each stage of the consumer lifecycle, underscoring how to assess MROI

  • Proven track record of interpreting data + consumer insights to drive decisions, tracking and delivering on key business and campaign metrics

  • Strong analytical acumen -- you don’t shy away from digging into data in Excel/Google Sheets in order to inform strategic decisions

  • Strong presentation skills -- you’re a whiz at making a presentation in Google Slides, then sharing with project stakeholders

  • Excellent writing skills; you can adapt to write both business and creative documents

  • Strongly preferred: Fluency in foreign languages – specifically German, Dutch, Spanish, French, and Italian

  • Characteristics:

  • Mission-driven: You’re excited to build a brand at a mission-driven company (especially one focused on food & sustainability)

  • A can-do attitude and willingness to learn - You are a proactive problem solver who gets it done before deadline and under budget. You have high standards but also have a deep respect for the statement, “Don’t let perfect be the enemy of the good.”

  • Business in front : creative in back - Your mindset is equal parts business and creative. You are comfortable talking business, budgets, and MROI in one meeting, and campaign creative concepts in the next one.

  • Fearlessness and optimism - Nothing fazes you, and you’re eager to be a part of fast-paced, highly evolving company in hyper growth mode

  • Adaptability - You can turn on tight deadline or when plans change suddenly

  • Bold: A total disdain for the status quo, and a “student for life” mindset — always looking to test, learn and grow.

  • Collaborative: You actively seek out experiences to work with people from all different backgrounds and experience level
