What we collect—and what we don’t
We do not collect personal information from members of the general public using consumer AI platforms like ChatGPT. We collect AI responses (including citations and search results) via integrations and APIs, but not the personal data of the people asking questions.
From Scrunch customers, we collect:
Email addresses and brand names
Optional: Names for user accounts/authentication
Optional: Descriptions of products/services and customer personas
Optional: Lists of competitors and prompts to monitor (prompts can be linked to personas)
Optional: Public URLs for webpages you’re targeting for AI search inclusion
All “optional” items can be generated by Scrunch during onboarding, and you can provide as much or as little as you’d like.

Security and compliance
Scrunch is SOC 2 Type II compliant, audited by an independent third party.
Enterprise features include single sign-on (SSO) with Okta, Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), and Google Workspace; any SAML 2.0 or OIDC-compliant provider is supported.
Scrunch connects to consumer AI platforms via integrations, partnerships, and APIs to collect AI-generated responses, citations, and search results—without collecting third‑party consumer PII.
For identity and access management, Scrunch supports SSO with major identity providers and any SAML 2.0/OIDC-compliant IdP.
