Scrunch tracks competitor performance in AI search across all major AI platforms. Users can see competitive presence across LLMs, individual prompts, and citations, as well as how it compares to their own brand. Scrunch also shows users how many competitors and which ones are mentioned in responses to individual prompts and displays full prompt responses for review.
Additional context: Scrunch automatically flags AI responses that mention competitors but not a user’s brand, highlighting visibility gaps.

For example, imagine a Scrunch user tracks the prompt, “What are the top-rated apps for managing my fitness goals?”
In Scrunch's Prompt Manager, the user could view aggregate metrics showing what percentage of AI responses mention competitors and how often competitor websites are cited across all tracked platforms.
Clicking into individual platform responses reveals which specific competitors appear in each answer, the exact number mentioned, and all websites cited in that response.
The user can also read the full AI response to understand the context around competitor mentions and identify why certain brands are being recommended over others.
Users can add competitors in the Competitive Brands section of the Context tab in Scrunch. Scrunch uses AI to automatically suggest competitors to track during the sign-up process based on a user’s domain, but users have full control over which competitors to monitor.
Additionally, Scrunch’s Suggested Competitors feature automatically analyzes prompt responses and AI search trend data to identify competitive brands and flag them for review. Users can add them to Scrunch and automatically backfill historical data for the competitors or dismiss suggestions.
Scrunch uses multiple methodologies to collect prompt data from AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and others, including browser automation and official platform APIs.
Scrunch allows users to create customer personas based on unique characteristics and geographies and either auto-generate prompts based on those personas or assign personas to existing prompts for targeted tracking and filtering.
Scrunch currently supports seven major AI platforms: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, and Meta AI. Support for Microsoft Copilot and Grok is coming soon.
