Every prompt in its right place

A general rule for systems as they scale: clutter leads to chaos.

As the prompts you track scale from the dozens to hundreds to thousands, organization becomes key to faster insights and action. That means categorizing prompts by dimensions like topic clusters, funnel stages, and custom tags so that every prompt fits in its right place.

And, while Scrunch automatically does much of the heavy classification lifting for you, there are times when a custom override is needed.

That’s why we’re now giving you complete control over how topics, tags, models, and stages are mapped to the prompts you’re tracking with Scrunch. Not only that, we’ve made it possible to categorize many prompts in one fell swoop with bulk editing.

How do I edit prompts in bulk?

Bulk editing prompts in Scrunch is possible from the Prompts tab.

To edit prompts in bulk, apply any filters you’d like and then sort prompts by seed type. From there, you’ll be able to narrow prompt results by keyword and select multiple prompts at once.

Once a prompt is selected, you’ll see a menu of options to modify prompt classifications by topic, stage, tag, and platform.

From there, editing prompts in bulk is easy as clicking a button and mapping prompts to the corresponding category.

How do I edit the topic, tag, or funnel stage of a prompt?

To edit the topic, tag, or funnel stage of a given prompt, you can select the … (ellipsis) on the prompt detail page in Scrunch.

From there, you’ll see options to edit the prompt classifications and map them to your desired dimension (e.g., topic, tag, stage).

That’s it, really. Once mapped, the prompt will be included in reporting, filtering, and other related functions for the specified dimension.

How is this being used in the wild?

Aside from just being a fast and easy way to organize and classify prompts, bulk prompt editing comes in handy in the following ways:

🗂️ Taxonomy refresh → As new trends or products emerge, marketing teams can recategorize prompts that map to said categories in one move.

On the fly fixes → Say a team member is digging into a specific prompt and sees its funnel stage is miscategorized. In two clicks they can update it and be on their way.

🗺️ Keyword mapping → If a trigger keyword or phrase is used in a prompt (e.g., “Marvel movies”), tagging all prompts with that keyword is now possible in seconds.

With these prompt editing features, it’s easier than ever to shape your prompt taxonomy, mend inconsistencies, and adapt to trending topics in seconds.

The result: cleaner data, faster insights, and more confidence in how you’re tracking your brand performance across AI models.
