Yes. Scrunch helps you quickly identify and prioritize the citation sources that shape AI answers most using Influence Score, along with rich filters and drill‑downs in the Citations and Prompts Monitoring tabs.
How prioritization works
Influence Score is calculated by multiplying the percentage of AI responses that have cited a source by the unique number of prompts. It highlights sources that are both broadly and consistently referenced by AI platforms.
Scrunch also surfaces citation frequency and Citation Consistency (the share of responses that cited a source), so you can see both volume and reliability over time.
Note: Influence Score measures how strongly a source shapes AI responses, not the editorial quality of the source content itself.
What you can analyze in the Citations tab
Use the Citations tab to see which domains and URLs AI models cite for your tracked prompts and who owns them (your brand, competitors, or third parties). For each source you can view:
Brand and competitor mentions
Relevant topics for the domain or page
Unique prompts and total responses that cited the source
Citation Consistency rate
Influence Score
You can segment all citation data by timeframe, branded vs. non‑branded prompts, custom prompt tags, persona, country, prompt topic, citation topic, AI platform, funnel stage, and citation owner. Learn more in the Citations tab overview in the Scrunch Help Center or follow the step‑by‑step walkthrough in the how‑to guide, How to track citations in AI search.
Example: Focus your efforts fast
Filter by prompt topic, persona, or AI platform to narrow to the area you care about.
Sort by Influence Score to find the domains and URLs that most strongly shape AI responses.
Benchmark competitor pages that rank highly and identify third‑party sites that frequently appear without mentioning your brand.
Track changes week‑over‑week to see whether your actions are improving citation share and consistency.
Why some sources win higher Influence Scores
If your brand’s citations have lower Influence Scores than competitors, your pages are either cited less consistently across responses or across fewer prompts. To improve:
Create or update content to meet or exceed the sources currently influencing AI answers. Prioritize better structure, metadata, clear intent alignment, and unique information.
Increase brand mentions in third‑party sources that AI already cites. Tools like Noble and Stacker can help scale placements.
Analytics to measure impact on brand visibility
Beyond citations, Scrunch’s Monitoring & Insights shows how your brand appears across AI platforms—brand presence, position in responses, sentiment, competitive presence, full AI answers, and citations—so you can connect citation work to visibility outcomes. You can also track agent traffic and referral traffic to understand downstream impact. Explore capabilities on the Monitoring & Insights page and see measurement best practices in the post on AI search metrics.
How Scrunch spots and prioritizes citation opportunities
Each time an AI model (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity) answers a tracked prompt, Scrunch records the exact webpages it cited. In the Citations tab, you can:
See citation share by owner (your brand, competitors, third parties) and the top cited domains.
Drill down to URL level to view which prompts cite a page, how often, and week‑over‑week trends.
Filter by branded vs. non‑branded prompts, persona, country, topics, AI platform, funnel stage, and more to find the highest‑leverage gaps for your goals.
How Scrunch determines which content changes move the needle
Scrunch complements citation insights with auditing, optimization, and delivery:
Auditing pinpoints barriers that limit citations (e.g., access controls, JavaScript‑only rendering, bot‑blocking, content delivery issues, metadata relevance, and content quality gaps) and maps performance by page.
Optimization generates a tailored plan for each page based on intent, target persona, and tracked prompts—providing either fully automated AI‑friendly versions or detailed recommendations for your team.
Content delivery via the Agent Experience Platform (AXP) serves AI‑optimized content directly to AI user agents while preserving the human web experience. In the product workflow example, enabling AXP led to a 226% citation increase for a key page within two weeks.
